John Homa, DO

Dr. John Homa has been working on Cape Cod as a urologist since 2005. As a founding member of the Cape Cod and Islands Physician Council and former Treasurer, he is proud to serve as the President of CCIPC. He believes strongly in building and supporting a successful and stable medical community on the Cape and Islands.

Bruce Bierhans, Esq

Bruce Bierhans has been a business and trial lawyer for 42 years. He brings his extensive experience with non profit organizations to CCIPC. Since 2006, Bruce has been a co founder of Wellfleet Preservation Hall; a past President of Outer Cape Health Services; a past President and CEO of Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (WHAT); a past President of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod;  past President of Payomet Performing Arts Center and a past President of WOMR/Outermost Radio. 


In addition to his service in health care at Outer Cape Health Services, he is also the co founder of Cape Wellness Collaborative, which provides funding for integrative services to cancer patients on the Cape and Islands.


Bruce is also counsel to many non profits in our service area.

Mary-A. W. O'Neill, MD

Dr. Mary-Amanda O'Neill, MD graduated from Albany Medical College in New York, in 2011.  She enjoys working in the hospital, previously worked at Iora/One Medical, and now mainly focuses on medically complex patients and their primary care.  As of September 2024, Dr. O'Neill is now seeing patients of all ages at the Community Health Center of Cape Cod.


Prior to medical school, she was part of the engineering team on the first fast-tracked FDA CBER project, then on manufacturing drugs against multiple sclerosis and various types of cancer. She served on the Board of Directors for the Boston Chapter of ISPE, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to best practices for FDA-approved medications. She completed a Master's in Biotechnology/Project Management through Harvard, at night and on the weekends, and was motivated to go to med school by patients she met while working at Biogen.


Since moving to Cape Cod to be closer to family, Mary has served on multiple committees at our local hospital, was elected to the Physician's Health Organization by the CCHC medical staff, and is a two-time winner of the Dancing with the Docs competition, which raises money for Cape Wellness Collaborative and their aims to help local cancer patients. She is passionate about physician wellness, and works for organizations that empower their staff to provide the best patient care.

Dan Arnold, MD

Dr. Dan Arnold has practiced medicine on Cape Cod since 2009. He earned a BS in Biology at Providence College and his MD at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University/Boston Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident from 2008-2009.

 

Dr. Arnold founded Primary Care of Cape Cod in 2018 and started Veritas Direct Care in 2023 in order to transition to the Direct Primary Care Model of care. He believes in the importance of developing and maintaining a strong relationship between patient and provider, while also providing prompt access, convenience, and excellent services in the practice. Moreover, he believes that everyone benefits when health care providers work directly for their patients, and not for insurance companies, the government or corporations.

 

Dr. Arnold is also the founder of Patients Supporting Patients, a nonprofit dedicating to helping people afford high-quality, comprehensive primary care.


Dr. Holly Zheng, MD

Dr. Holly Boyle Zheng is a OBGYN and surgeon at Cape Cod Healthcare, working chiefly at Falmouth Hospital.  

Brian Greer

Brian is a Cape Cod Native and knows the how special the Cape is and how important it is to keep this community thriving. 


After graduating from the University of North Florida Brian became a teacher in Jacksonville, FL where he met and married his wife Sarah. Once they decided to start a family they couldn't think of a better place to put down roots than Cape Cod.  Brian then transitioned into a career in real estate and now owns Greer Real Estate with offices in Barnstable and Osterville.


With teenage daughters, a wife who is a teacher and a growing business, Brian knows the importance of sustaining a strong community.  At the center of this and any community is education and healthcare. 


"I was surprised and disappointed to learn how the Cape is having a hard time attracting and retaining physicians. We Cape Codders need to help support a strong sense of belonging and community for these professionals.", said Brian.

Thomas M. Murphy, MD

Dr. Thomas M. Murphy is a radiologist emeritus, with a special interest in connecting the physician community together for well-being in retirement.

Matt Kalliath, DO

Dr. Matthew Kalliath is a specalist trained in General Surgery.

Kristen Liska, MD

Dr. Liska works as an attending Emergency Medicine physician at South Coast Hospital, and has been practicing since 2018. 

Dr. Liska received her undergraduate education at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut where she double majored in Biology and Religious studies. She completed her medical degree at UMass Medical School and her graduate medical training in Emergency Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Liska then returned home to Cape Cod to work in her local community.  She has a special interest in international medicine. Her passion for travel and global health led her to Mozambique where she assisted in training the first class of Emergency physicians in the country's history.

She feels strongly that health and wellness extend beyond medication. True well-being comes from personal relationships, hobbies and pursuing one's passions. She looks forward to connecting with fellow practitioners on the Cape and the Islands through shared interests and activities.
